1.  How do I determine if I need an "average", "petite" or "large" sized wig?

Most people wear "average".  Wigs are generally available in three sizes:

Petite: fits heads 20" to 21"
Average: fits heads 21½" to 22½"
Large:  fits heads 22½" to 24"

Most women fall into the "Average" size range.  Wigs are adjustable inside by an elastic Velcro strap to make the cap tighter or looser.  See our measuring instructions on our Customer Service page. If in doubt, email us via our contact us form for assistance.

2Can the wig be made bigger or smaller to better fit my head?

Yes, all wigs can be adjusted to fit your needs, by tightening or loosening the Velcro tabs located in the back.  If your wig is still too large, secure it with bobby pins.

3. Will wearing a wig ruin my natural hair?

Wearing a wig will not damage your own hair!

4. Why do I need a wig cap?

Some women feel more comfortable wearing a wig cap for security reasons. A wig cap can also be used by those with long hair that needs to be secured back.

5. Can I wear my wig while cooking and using the oven?

When cooking, please be sure not to open the oven while wearing your wig. Also, try not to expose the wig to any other heat source, such as a blow dryer, curling iron, clothes dryer, etc. (For synthetic wigs only.  You may use a curling iron or gentle blow dryer on a human hair wig.)

6. How do I put on my new wig?

The two ear tabs must be centered; the wig should sit right at your natural hairline. It should be worn behind the ears, not over them. Pull the nape of the neck all the way down. Tuck excess hair behind your ears. Always tease the front of the hairline down towards your face and trim bangs if needed. Basically, tease the hairs in the direction you desire.

7. How do I clean my new wig?

First, gently pick or comb wig out thoroughly before washing it. Then wet wig completely with cold water, work shampoo in and leave in for 5 minutes. Then, rinse it out with cold water and thorough blot dry with a towel. Follow with conditioner; leave it in for 5 minutes, rinse and towel dry. Leave the wig on a towel or wig stand to dry over night at room temperature. Do not comb or brush your wig when it is wet! When it is completely dry, simply brush into your desired style.

8. How often do I wash my wig?

Wash your wig after wearing it 10 -12  times.

9. How do I wash and care for my new Human Hair wig?

Soak your human hair wig in a mixture of mild shampoo and conditioner; use warm water only. Squeeze the shampoo/conditioner through the hair from top to bottom. Rinse with warm water. Gently blot hair with a towel. Comb wet hair from the bottom to the top using gentle downward strokes, one section at a time. Never begin combing at the top or middle--start at the bottom of the hair strand--and always comb down. Important! Allow wig to dry naturally! To restyle your human hair wig, you may use a blow dryer or curling iron on a low heat setting, or you may use steam rollers.

10. Can I use regular mousse with my new wig?

You can use regular mousse daily on synthetic and human hair wigs for extra body and a more natural look and feel.
